On Thursday, September 26, 2019 we will have a school-wide LOCKDOWN DRILL. School-wide LOCKDOWN is used when there is a threat of violence or serious incident that could jeopardize the safety of students/staff such as an armed intruder, shooting, hostage incident, gang fights, civil disturbance, etc. Teachers will discuss the drill with students and you can discuss at home. We take safety seriously. As a result, clearer volunteer/visitor procedures will be coming soon. We want you in the building, but we want everyone to check-in properly and to communicate why they are in the building. Again, more specifics to come. Please contact Dr. Singleton at psingleton@cps.edu, if you have questions.

Start Collecting Walk for Ravenswood Pledges Now!

On Friday, October 11th, all Ravenswood students will walk to raise money for the benefit of Friends of Ravenswood School (FORS). Funds raised by PreK through 7th grade will be used to benefit Fine and Performing Arts at Ravenswood, and money raised by the 8th grade will go towards their trip to Washington DC.

This year, our goal is to raise $25,000. The Walk for Ravenswood is our 2nd biggest fundraiser of the school year. If each student raises $100, we would double our $25,000 goal! Last year, the Walk for Ravenswood raised $24,500 for Fine Arts at Ravenswood and $2564 for the 8th grade trip.

Collect Pledges Online and On Paper

Donations can be made with a student's name and grade or classroom online by clicking here. The online option allows families the opportunity to request Walk for Ravenswood donations from friends and family online anywhere in the country.

Backpack flyers with instructions and pledge forms will go home this week. Please send back your paper donation form with donations by Friday, October 11th to your child's classroom teacher.
