Considering Preschool at Ravenswood?

Please read an update from our principals regarding the 2019-2020 school year.

Dear Ravenswood Families and Friends,

We are writing to share an important update with you regarding our Pre-K programs for next year.  Currently, we have two separate programs, one is the Chicago Early Learning Pre-K Program (007) and the other is the Tuition Based Pre-K (008).  Starting next school year (2019-2020), both classrooms will offer the Chicago Early Learning Pre-K Program and we will no longer have a Tuition Based Pre-K.

This change will allow rooms 007 and 008 to run on the same daily schedule and have the same attendance days as the remainder of the school.   The Pre-K curriculum and instructional approaches will remain the same. This change will provide more local families with the opportunity to access affordable Pre-K at Ravenswood.

If you are interested in learning about the Chicago Early Learning Pre-K Program including the application process, click here. The CEL application period has not yet opened but will open later this spring.

We look forward to this opportunity to offer two Early Childhood Pre-K Programs to our community! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email either of us.

Mr. Manaen ( and Ms. Karrel (

Sr. Manaen ( y Sra. Karrel (
